About my Project

The picture in the center of this composition is a picture of a coffee shop on the Thursday before First Friday. I took it as a panorama and it had no one in it. This was to show the contrast of the area before First Friday, which is almost totally diserted, and how the area of the arts district swells by a few thousand people one night a month. I then took some pictures the next day when it was crowded as all hell. I used those pictures as an overlay on top of the original panorama.

I changed the overall picture from the original I presented in class. My original project was 6 x 48 and when I figured out how to shrink it down to 11x14 I had a lot of empty space. I then put more pictures I took on Friday into the composition and changed it all to black and white. Black and white is my favorite type of picture and I think it worked well in this project.
